These grades make it easy to enjoy reading a comic in bed by the nightstand light without worrying about blunting corners

Boy-o-boy is that the truth. The other day I purchased a beat, but complete, Jungle off the CGC boards for that specific reason - I could read it! Along those same lines...I shared some low grade GA Felix with my 3-year-old daughter the other day and she loved 'em. Good stuff

That's another reason for nice low grade comics. My little guy hasn't learnt the finer skills of handling a comic ( which he shouldn't have to since he's a kid enjoying what comics were first made for )
I also have a stack of comics that are his to do what he likes to. He loves coming to the post office or LCS to get a comic to destroy.

That's the way to do it. My girls grew up on beater copies of Looney Tunes, WDC&S and the like while using copies of Critters and other B&W stuff for coloring books. They slowly graduted into the stuff like F.C #386 and I feel more comfortable now letting them handle high-grade books than most collectors I know. It's fun having little co-collectors in the family!
