Haa haa, welcome Mike. I'm giggling cause those digital cams make the books look so much better than they are.

I used to own a copy of this one but, I had to sell it about 4 years ago.
I got this one from Marnin and was most pleased. It's the Detroit Trolley copy.

S-W-E-E-T copy! Gerbers are nice for getting a thumbnail view of books but nice scans bring a whole new dimension to them.

7.0 to a 9.2. Not a bad bump. BTW, what did you feel the grade was prior to pressing?

I bought it from sacentaur and honestly don't remember what he/we graded it (maybe vf ish + or -). I didn't buy a grade though. I bought the book. It looked very beautiful with just a minor bend to it. It didn't lay flat. I am very happy with the results of the pressing, not only for the grade, but also for the improvement to the appearance and feel of the book.

I just got a new scanner. I will be doing a bunch of new scans over the next few weeks. This one will go to the top of the pile. :righton:

The Schomburg cover is another great one.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a re-creation of that ?

You should give Murphy a call !

Remember what is was like to go down a slide in
the park on a hot summer day while wearing shorts ?!

This is probably the comic that is dearest to me. I worked at a store in Houston called Camelot starting in 1978. I got paid in trade.
I worked for six months to build up enough credit to take this baby home.

Easily one of my top-5, along with that fugly Daring Mystery Comics #1 cover. :baiting:

Just noticed that Larson and Allentown copies are both 9.2s - highest graded. Is there a MH copy of the Mystic #1?

Now if we could only see some more early Mystics from the Trolley collection make to the marketplace
