Moondog on the other forum.

Collect ashcans and Herbies (how's that for a nifty segue in collecting interests?).

Don't sell a lot anymore - once a year at Chicago and on the CGC boards. If I get a collection I let everyone know and they PM me. Pretty simple actually.

Looking forward to working with everyone here.

Herbies? I use to love that chubby lollipop sucking kid.

You wouldn't by chance happen to have a high grade Action #108 sitting around there would you? Image

Wowza! Am I late arrival to this party or what? To both new and old friends...I'm Paul, snitzer here and snitzer there (CGC). Lastly, I'm also one of the three current NOD Board Members.

Hello, this is ZOD greeting NOD...

Actually, my first name is Jon, and I live in a town near Phoenix, Arizona. Soon to be moving to Ahwatukee where I'll be more in the thick of things. I was born and raised in the upper NW corner of Iowa and frequented the comic shops in Sioux Falls, SD and Sioux City, IA. I've moved around since, living in SD, MN and CA before settling here a little over 6 years ago.

I am probably inviting more chaos into my life by joining this forum when I can't even be on CGC every day, but I like quite a few members that are part of this organization, so I wanted to at least be a small part of this board.

I collect Silver, Bronze, some Copper and read Moderns. I'm not shunning the Golden Age at all, but my budget is too modest to make a serious foray into that age since I'd strongly want mid-grade in that era and a first appearance/key at that. I'm not a flipper (haven't sold a comic since '85), so my collection obviously is more of the permanent type.

My focus is first appearances, classic covers (I'm very picky about this) and major to minor keys depending on what I can afford. I also have a side project on collecting G.I. Joe (Marvel) first appearances, origins and deaths that I'm working on for the next two years. I have set a minimum standard on two different levels for that project to make it something I can entirely call all my own. I started this project because this was my favorite title to read in the early to mid 80's, and we all know about nostalgia and what it can do to us.

I don't discriminate between DC or Marvel or independents. I have pretty eclectic tastes on which characters I pursue in terms of 1st appearances. No Paste-Pot Pete in my collection... I do especially like DC villains. (General Zod, Bizarro, Darkseid, etc.) :)

That is one purdy book. If I know my original owner books I'd have to say that's a Detroit Trolley copy, right?
