Fine/Fine+ (purchased as a Fine+ from C-link years ago.)

Structurally, better than F+, but very light handling stain on right open edge. Scan makes it look darker than it is in hand. Spine is tight and all pages are secure, however lower part of splash page is slightly angled out from spine... this is a production issue with squarebounds. Note that it is tight and in no danger of falling out. Nice paper quality.

Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine #2 (1968) - Near Mint +

This is about as close to perfect as you are going to get. I have two copies. My other copy is identical to this one and came back CGC 9.8. This is a 9.6 minimum... maybe 9.8.

Perfect edges, a flawless spine and four razor-sharp corners. Fresh, near-white pages, popping color and a square spine... it looks and feels brand new. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Slabbed CGC 9.6 copies are listed for around $400.

Journey into Mystery 89

Was CGG (PGX) Universal 6.5. Now it is cracked, and likely trimmed. Sent to Susan Cicconi and she felt it was probably "slightly trimmed" top and right cover only. She also opined it was probably pressed. (Book will come with Susan's Certificate.)

In the interest of full disclosure, the CGG 6.5 was a bit generous in my opinion. Some edge and staple wear would probably make it 6.0.

That said, it has great eye appeal with nice paper. The trim is not obvious as Susan could not state definitively it was trimmed.

Posting pics of it still slabbed, but as indicated earlier, it is now cracked/raw.

Tough book and I'm not giving it away... I wouldn't mind keeping it. :winkgrin:

Throw out the guide on this one... they are so out of touch, #89 is not even broken out. FMV for an unrestored 6.0 is about $400.

Buy this one for $175 or make me an offer.
