Would anyone be interested in doing a book of the week/month i.e. every wednesday/Thursday everyone comes and talks about our favorite books that week/month ? maybe even have a poll?
any feedback will be welcome! :D

I've cut back so I'm not sure if I'd have something to contribute every week, but I think it's a good idea because everyone has there own interests or "great reads."

I love the idea, the problem is I get my box of books monthly. So I would always be behind a few weeks. The price I pay for a 40% discount.

Hey Steve,
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed but is that discount local or by mail?

So when would you like to start this and what are the parameters. Could I write up a book I am reading that did not come out this month or do you want to focus exclusively on current titles?
Word length? Format? Rating system? Or just more casual?

I think if we did one main post a month with a poll of books that month that people can vote and discuss, and then people can also do there own reviews for specific books they enjoyed, with a rating system stated at the top (Story 1-5 Art 1-5) then a review underneath , then people can discuss what they liked/didn't.

I don't think there needs to be any strict rules in place but i saw the forum entitled book club and thought it seemed a bit bare... i love knowing what books are worth reading (what to spend money on and what not to!) and what better opinion can you get then from the people here?

I'm happy to do the poll post each month which i think would be best say the last week of each month for that months books i.e. the last friday of each month for the previous 4 weeks of releases? But it is hard to know what to include in the poll and what not to so any suggestions on how to decide would be much appreciated!

My only idea on this is to monitor some other review sites and pick maybe the 5 most popular books from each week?

Anyway my point is i'd like to see some more reviews on the site, to know what was enjoyed and what wasn't i'm not fussed how we go about it i just think we should! :D

p.s. sorry about the delay i've been super busy the last few weeks havnt had a chance to do anything!

Hi Guys im having real trouble getting this off the ground, my problem is there are too many books! i thought id go through and pick the most well know/popular books each week then just combine them into one big poll but just working through the first week of august (3rd) i've got a list of 11 books at this rate there will be 50 books to choose from! anyone have any ideas of how to do this? my only thought is to split it into categories such as DC, Marvel, image, dark horse and other? would this work for you guys?

I think at this point anything would be good. Of course I'd be interested in Marvel and Independents. I just sold ALL of my DC. :D
