So, I completely forgot to vote--doing so right now.

Weird thought crossed my mind though as I was voting for the kiddies: Isn't the film "Black Swan" a VERY R rated movie? Kinda struck me funny that a minor is using that as the subject. I know, I know. NOT relevant to the voting, and based on the art, it got my vote. STILL... I keep thinking of THAT ONE SCENE and hoping that the kid only saw trailers on tv.

Also, I might've overlooked this, but do you think we might make a stipulation next year about keeping the content of the artwork focused on comics? It doesn't have to be mainstream / superhero stuff but I guess it would be better suited to who we are as an organization IMO.
:???

I can see it from both sides. I don't mind non-comics related subject matter as I like the notion of encouraging amateur artists.

Frankly, we are not suffering from an overabundance of entries, so I didn't see the need to be particular about the subject matter. Given we are a comic related org and most of the voters will be of that mindset, it would be to the advantage of the submitter to have a comic related theme.

Honorable mention for Chaplin. This entry missed second runner up by one point.

Kudos to CBCA member David Steuer for a superb piece. :hail:

:yipeeeee: Victoria will be so happy.

By the way, she never saw the movie. Just the endless TV promotion and posters inspired her.

This was my top choice--I LOVED the old school, GA Batman feel it had. I wonder if it will find its way into the CBCA Marketplace? Hm....

I don't understand... Oprah's off the air and all the afternoon "stories" should have ended by now. :dunno:
