This was the last SA book I bought. I'm very happy with the book and the assigned grade, so I seriously doubt this one will ever get upgraded.

Very nice Boozad! You know, I think that has to be one of the most popular Batman books out there. I seem to see it for sale all the time.

That presents really nice for a 6.0. Are you working on a raw or slab set or does it really matter?

There are a lot of low grade copies on the market to be honest, I own a raw VG/FN which I bought a couple of years ago pretty cheap. The HG copies are a bit more difficult to weed out though, and I was pretty surprised at the price I managed to bag that one for :yipeeeee:

Slab or raw doesn't matter. I'm shooting for VF except for the earlier issues.

It is a really nice 6.0 and I paid the same price for it that I have seen raw copies listed for. The CGC notes include a "stain lower right front corner" which must have killed the grade. I can barely see a tiny spot of what appears to be from a water drop. Smaller than a pencil eraser and very faint. Kinda extreme if you ask me, but I'll gladly pay 6.0 prices for this copy.

Dirty Dozen NN (1967) Took me a while to find a white covered copy of these two, and then I found them together! :yipeeeee:

Great looking books! Dirty Dozen was a terrific film. Lee Marvin was great and doesn't get nearly the credit he should. I'll have to check out Operation Crossbow.

My one aquisition form the last VCC. I'm really happy to add a relatively high grade copy to my collection. FF 55 has turned into somewhat of a breakout book. :secret:

I got this one from Mark S. Zaid this year. This helps complete 70 thru 167. I am confident I will finish my goal of a complete set.

Great book! Love that cover and it looks really nice. So many of them have a really dingy looking yellow cast to the cover. :applause:

Yes, I liked this one because it was crisp and clean and bright and no yellow cast on the front or back.

I had to look it up. It appears that the green box over the price is unusual. They are supposed to be yellow. A few got out as green and the price for those is higher. Overstreet does not list it but Comics Price Guide calls it less common and designates it as 15a. So I thought I should pick it up.

Thanks! I'll have to keep an eye out for those.

The visible artifacts on the Human Torch are from the Mylar cover. I didn't feel like re-scanning this one. These have been kept in the dark the bulk of their lives which is why the colors are awesome. I do not want to start bombarding them with the florescent from the scanner bed. That is NOT a good thing to do since I imagine everyone takes great care to archive and preserve these wonderful pieces of art.

Nice books. Gil Kane's bad guys always seemed to have big leering bug eyes.
