Why would they note something on the label that is obvious from 6 feet away? Weird...

The notation leads me to conclude that the VF grade is what it would be without the extensive ink marks... in effect this is a PGX "green apparent label."

:???

In my view, "typical" distributor marks are part of the distribution process and not a deductible flaw. That said, this level of extensive over-spray is far beyond the realm of typical and would clearly impact grade.

Correct. If I recall correctly, PGX is actually the third name they've used. Can't recall the third iteration.

The images came from a guy I met through eBay. He purchased it many years ago before he had a PayPal account. He was so turned off it chased him right out of comic book collecting. It's quite amazing how many video/audio geeks I've bought electronic components from who also collect comics, seems to go hand in hand.
