The New Label is correct in both parts. (I checked the book)

During the period these were certified, CGC wasn't even aware that the Date stamp on the 1st page was part of the White Mountain Pedigree authenticity.

Actually it's the old label that is correct (Transplant has it right) - the new label is for the later issue 1953 issue #17 (the one with the dinosaurs and rocketship on the cover - one of my favorites), which is the wrong book.

Yes, I was just making a specific point. I'm working on write-ups for the pedigree collections I've been involved with over the years, including many books from my private collection which have never been seen. This is why I have held off haphazardly posting these books in other categories. :peace:

This particular issue has been an EC mini-grail of mine to locate a copy in nice shape, not only for the black cover but also for the classic Krigstein story "Pipe Dream".
