I told you guys.... four years ago.

Anybody that placed an order with them over the last two years and got screwed, deserved the bad service they got.

There were many many warnings.

They are running several auctions on eBay as we speak.

Hot Flips baby !!

Seriously Jeff and Charles are two of the best guys in the business! They are tops with customer service, have great product, and are always fast to respond to any questions.

I gave up on Comic Supply and have had one good experience with Hotflips. Unfortunately, they don't have microchamber paper. I'm not sure where to get it now.

Comic Supply has owed me $300 worth of stuff for a year. After many e-mails with no response I sent him one with "Legal Action for Mail Fraud" in the subject line and he is suddenly a lot more communicative. Supposedly the box will be mailed tomorrow.

Now I just have to deal with another CGC boards seller that has disappeared with $145 of my money. I'm told he is having personal problems, but that isn't an excuse for accepting payment and not mailing the books.

Buy your Microchamber paper here. I bought some with great results... fast service and much less expensive. Same exact stuff. The only catch is you have to trim it to size:

I said it before and I'll still stand by my comment. " That place has about as good a ratio as dealing with eBay. " :2cents:

It's better... I've gotten a lot of great books there and my satisfaction ratio is much higher than ebay in terms of buying or selling.

However, in the past 12 - 18 months, that satisfaction level has dropped a bit. IMO, it's better than ebay, but not as good as it used to be. Seems like a lot of people have come out of the woodwork to take advantage of the free selling forum. Some ain't so hot.

Michael Jacobs (mjacobs8)

I've bought and sold from him before with no problems, as have many others. It seems that he is having personal problems and has disappeared. I've opened a PayPal dispute and may have to escalate. I think that I'm going to stop paying from my bank account and only use credit cards from now on so I have more protection.

I'm also owed a $1,000 book from Filter81 that I paid for on Jan 10. I guess that means that I'm waiting on $1445 of stuff. :o

Mike, have you let Gator know about the book from Adam? Perhaps he can get the ball rolling on that?

Mike's already resolved his dispute with Adam as mentioned in the probation thread.

Adam went through a rough patch where he sold too many books plus he had a lot of stuff stolen during the same period. Having said that he is the most honest person you'll ever deal with.

I recently got steered to Conservation Resources by a buddy, and just received my first package of microchamber paper yesterday.

Wish they came in comic book size, but for the low cost I don't really mind some trim. :)

I got my book from Adam and also, miracle of miracles, received everything from Comic Supply!

I won my PayPal dispute with Michael Jacobs, but he didn't have any funds in his account so I am out of luck.

I don't know if they will shut down the account. All I did find out is that PayPal buyer protection is a crock. You only get your cash back if the fraudster has it sitting in his PayPal balance. I think that I'm going to switch to paying from my credit card only.

Did not know Buyer protection was contingent on this. How many scammers are going to leave a balance sitting there? Isn't the point of a scam to get the money and run? I thought Paypal would indemnify against the loss.

As a seller, I immediately sweep money out of my Paypal account because I fear the other side of the coin -- a crazy chargeback from a scammer buyer. All the buyer has to do is say "I didn't get it" and your account will be frozen pending the Paypal "investigation."

I have never used PayPal as a seller for anything and won't. I only use it to buy inexpensive gifts off the internet, and where I have the option, I will bypass it and pay with my credit card only.

I thought of your Comics Slip By logo when I was reading about Comic Supply in the probation thread.

Hey NR! Thanks for the shoutout!

Yeah, I was amazed that people kept giving this guy new chances...... I know he had the best prices, but he just never provided consistent customer service.

Hope all is well.
