Is anyone reading Dial H, written by China Mieville?

There is only one issue out so far (issue #2 due out tomorrow). I have read most of Mieville's novels and enjoyed them very much. This is his first attempt at comic book writing.

I was wondering what others think?

I've never heard of this series or the writer. Just too much to read and not enough time.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat.

I know what you guys mean. I am seriously thinking about cutting back on all the new comics I get myself sucked into and concentrating my collecting in a different direction.

As for Mieville, he has written some amazing books (in my opinion). He is kind of hard to describe, but it's kind of like Sci-fi meets steampunk meets fantasy. My favorites are "Perdido Street Station", "The Scar", "Iron Council" and a YA book called "Un Lun Dun". Dial H is a book he is doing for DC. The title first premiered in House of Mystery in the 60s. The premise is that if a person dials h-e-r-o on a special dialing device, that person becomes a superhero for a little while.
