I haven't seen these (until now).
I really enjoyed Dark Horse's Buffy: Season Eight motion comic when I watched it last year.

Not much

Cartoons have smoother animation. Motion comics seem, to me anyway, to have a style similar to the old Marvel cartoons of the 1960's
