Once I figure out how to post scans in threads I'll throw up a bunch :ooops: , I just realized that the majority of my bronze and silver collection consists of the finest comic book artist of our time. ( as probably everyone else's collection since he seemed to draw every cover during this time )

Ok... Hope I've done this right. I don't think anyone did Batman better then Adams.

Thanks Jeff, I have the whole Adam's run of Tomahawk in nice grade and actually found that I enjoyed reading them. They aren't too bad when it comes to stories. I never knew that he was called Tomahawk because his real name was " Tommy Hawk "

I'm glad there's another that can appreciate this comic. It seems so under appreciated some days

I agree wholeheartedly Paul. I was fortunate enough to grow up when most Tomahawks were junk/quarter box fodder and got to read a big part of them. It ended up being one of my favorite non-mainstream titles. Unfortunately I never ran into that issue in a quarter box and I think the prospects now are pretty slim. It kinda sucks being a bottom-feeder when the masses discover how great some of this formerly-neglected "crap" really is.

Hey...don't knock yourself Jeff. I found that patience is a virtue these days and you can find these for some great prices still. Consider yourself lucky to find them so cheap back in the day.

And another...

I sent this one in for slabbing myself.

Slight spinner rack bend otherwise I think it is 9.4 candidate.

Not knocking myself (at least not at the moment) but I am such a *cheapskate* that for most books I just have to live vicariously through others' collections. I got kind of jaded dealing comics as a kid in the 70s that I just have a hell of a time paying today's prices on stuff I used to get for a song. That said, I can't bitch too much. I do have an uncanny knack for digging up Gerber 7-9s and quite a bit of unknown stuff over the years. I've been blessed enough to own quite a few items that most will never see so it ain't all bad. :righton:

Now keep them scans coming!!!

Did Adams color his own covers?

The gradiated orange background seems to be a recurring scheme on his covers.

I don't know.... I can't see him having the time with all the work he churned out. He may have just had his own say on how he wanted the overall look and collaborated with the inker and colourist.
