Sweet book, Jeffro.

I'd like to pick up some Christmas books like Rudolph, etc... I think my kids would get a kick out of them. Now is probably the best time to look for holiday themed books.

1969 - almost a Bronze. It has a few creases, but it's still a cool book.

Honestly, price on this was a little too good to pass on. I was looking at GPA on this book recently, and it's starting to creep up over guide value and I thought I'd get mine before the movie hype of next summer really drives the prices up on it.

No matter how many Atlas books I see there are always new titles popping up.

Well, this copy arrived and unfortunately, I found some deal-breaking defects that weren't initially disclosed: the pages felt brittle (some noticeable pieces flaked off) and there was a tear in the inside on one of the pages that covered more than half of the interior. For some reason, a coupon cut out doesn't bother me but severely torn pages...

Fortunately, the dealer was exceptionally professional about the whole deal, apologetic about the missed page, and promptly refunded the price. For THAT, I'll continue perusing their site. :righton:

However, last night I saw someone selling another low grade copy and after a little bargaining, I will be the proud owner of THIS copy for a nice bit less than my last copy:

Image

Now granted, this one will technically grade lower because it does have coupon cut (about 2"x2") that affects the story, but the difference in presentation is self-evident (and much improved). Since I have a GRR copy, I'm sending this one off to get signed by Stan Lee for SS

GRRs are excellent for SS, in my opinion. :peace:

I'm going to keep that one for reading. Besides, I happen to know this copy was previously graded as a 1.0 so I think getting the signature will give it a nice boost.

Two new additions. If you collect Strange Tales you know that 136 and 146 are the hardest Nick Fury issues to find in grade. This 136 is roughly NM_ and I paid half the cost of my CGC 9.0 which I can now sell. Unfortunately the new one was published by 'arvel mics oup'.

Great book and a nice copy too. :applause:

When I was a kid, I found a copy of it at a car boot sale. Not knowing anything about collecting or grade, I read it loads of times and it got completely trashed. In the end it disapeared and I've no idea if it was thrown out by my mum or not. :((

Thanks! I'm probably not as strict on centering as you... but it is a factor for me. I avoid bad miswraps.

Another one off the old checklist.
