Always loved the cover to TOS 72. They featured the Sleepers story line in those horrid Marvel cartoons in the sixties.

Several nice books arrived in Red Hook today ...

This one was especially nice because it's a copy of the first TOS I ever bought off the newsstand ...

Been a busy buying week... and I'll probably be steering clear of anymore purchases until after summer (no, I'm not kidding).

Here are my two Silver Ages purchases...

The book is actually coverless but it has a high quality repro cover that has all four sides.

and

Cover Detached but still in one piece otherwise...

Did you get the repro cover from Fedora Man? How is it?

It is a Fedoraman cover, however, I didn't commission him to create it for me--came with. It's at the post office right now waiting for me to pick it up so I'll be able to tell you for sure tomorrow. I'm pretty jazzed though as this pretty much leaves me with just FF 1 and JIM 83 for the BIG SA Marvel Keys to acquire.

This just in.... a true rarity.... an ebay win that was accurately graded! :yipeeeee:

One more off the Avengers 1 - 200 wantlist. :righton:

This is an issue that is notorious for being miswrapped. I waited for a copy that was not "arvel omics roup"

Nice pick-up, Steve. :applause: What grade did the seller give it?

What other books do you need for your # 1 to 200 run?

The seller graded it 7.5, which I agree with. In my view, it's a strong 7.5... I suspect many would grade it 8.0.

I need a good number to finish the run, but I have knocked off almost all the big ones.

For the earlier issues, I still need 6, 10, 11, 15, 19. Then up to 200 it's a scattering. I can send you a complete want list. :righton:

Centering is one of my pet peeves, and Avengers 17 copies are about 75% miswrapped from my guesstimate.

Also, for some reason, this issue tends to have a bad tanning halo. Yuck.

A great addition to any collection. :righton:

I'm sure glad I picked up my copy years ago... the prices on JIM 83s have gone nuts.

Yeah, they're starting to pick up steam. I got this for only a little over guide so not too bad. I suspect as we get closer to the movie's release, it's going to be spike a lot more.
