Hello! My name is Ronny, & I would like to discuss this particular issue of ADVENTURES INTO TERROR.

Like most of you (or maybe some of you), not only do I collect comics, but I read them as well. I read this particular issue last year because the cover appealed to me. The main artwork of the cover for this issue is called ENTER: THE LIZARD, & it shows a claw-hand covered in reptilian scales opening a door.

I bought this book at WIZARD CON in Chicago, IL. from Terry's Comics, & I read it as soon as I got home. The main story is about a man who got bit by a huge lizard (looks like a Komodo dragon), fell sick, & a scientist injected him with concentrated lizard serum (venom). Slowly the man started to develop lizard-like scales on his skin. His skin molted like a reptile would, & slowly he became a huge lizard! If this is not a LIZARD prototype (Spider-Man villain) I dunno what is!

I submitted this finding to OVERSTREET PRICE GUIDE 2009 edition, & now it's listed as such. I got credited for this discovery.

For all you monster/horror/sci-fi comic collectors, this issue of ADVENTURES INTO TERROR #8 is a gem of a find. This issue is particularly hard to find; try looking for a copy in any condition on ebay, & most likely you won't find it. Good luck hunting for this relatively hard to find gem.

Cheers!

Congratulations Ron on your input to the Overstreet Guide!

Have you seen this link about the book from Marvel.Wikia.com?

Yes, that's the book!

It looks like Stan Lee had this story in mind when he created "The Lizard" as a Spider-Man villain.

Perhaps our Atlas experts can chime in on that, and our admin can move this thread over to Atom Age (1946 - 1956) where they hang out.

Thank you Steve.

Actually if things were more organized in this forum, it would a lot easier to find things, and I'm sure you'd agree stuff gets easily lost quickly in the General Comics Discussion. :righton:

:???

There's like 10 new posts a day and maybe 2 new threads in General. How hard is it to find anything?
