That, my friend is the work of one of the most underrated artists ever.
Harry Anderson. He did so many of people's favorite Pre-Code Atlas horror covers and also their westerns and war books.

Most likely because of his short comics career. He spent a little over two years as a comic artist to supplement his income as a painter. His art is similar and possibly on par with the work of Bill Everett.

Very hard to find in anything above VG and rarely seen above Fine. I just bought a G/VG copy from Brent and I hardly ever buy any Atlas book below F/VF. I just got sick of looking around.
