My first GA purchase...

I shouldn't admit this but every now and then I'll bid on a book (listed on Ebay) during the last minute or two just to see if I can bump up the price - without buying it. Most folks would say "hey that's shilling," but is it if I have no idea who the seller is? The words - "feel the rush!" also come to mind, as well as several adjectives from the folks that will find this annoying (I almost didn't post this because I'm sure there'll be a few). But isn't that what Ebay's all about? There's 2 bazillion comic books on Ebay with BINs that are mostly over priced. The only exciting part of Ebay these days is the adrenaline rush when you win an auction during the last second or in my case - don't. Snipe!

All of which can be summed up in three words... I was bored. :lol:

Anywho, my bid ended up the winning bid (that's what I get - right?). So I now have a GA book to add to the collection (cool cover).

Thanks Mike. I'm not sure why but I've been somewhat bored with collecting lately and I haven't made very many purchases. A few moderns here and there and this one.

I put a bid on ebay for a copy of Is This Tomorrow? I put in a max bid of $90 and quickly forgot about it. Got an email today that I won with a bid of $89.88

It's an anti-communism one-shot from 1947. Very over-the-top (and entertaining) from today's perspective. I have since sold them off, but I was pretty hot on the various anti-communist 40s/50s books for awhile.

That "Is This Tomorrow" looks interesting. There's so much GA stuff out there that I've never heard of or seen. I got the Jungle Book in and I could smell it before I opened the box. It has the wonderful aroma of wet arse.
