Restoration isn't something that can be easily learnt, it takes years to ever start developing the skills needed.

If you have comics that you want restored then you're better off enquiring with a professional about it. :righton:

Welcome to the boards.

There is an active CBCA member, Mike DeChellis, who began his quest to learn all he could about the restoration of comic books just a few years ago. He might be willing to share some of his trials and tribulations, tips and tricks, etc. If you would like to send him a personal message, his name above is linked to his profile.

This is a pretty good place for information on some procedures used in restoration and conservation of paper items.

A lot of comic book restoration artists prefer to keep the exacts of their methods as trade secrets, the information is out there, you just gotta do the research, try searching for paper restoration/conservation and certain procedures used (leaf casting, tape removal, etc), there are also a few books on the topic, but some of them can be a bit pricey.

Start small by picking up some cheap beaters and practice things like tear seals and minor inpainting. :righton:
