Is it ever a good idea to buy a book based on restoring it? Of course with a high grade I would say probably not, but what about a lower grade?

Example: Amazing Fantasy #15 on Ebay for $2000.00 (CGC Grade 1.0).

That really comes down to personal opinion. I purchased a really beat up copy of Incredible Hulk #1 (it is CGC .5) but it is complete. The cover is detached and reattached with tape and there is other tape on it. The pages are off-white to white though. I thought this is the perfect book to buy and restore because it looks like once it is done, I'll have a perfectly acceptable copy that should present well and won't end up costing more that the Good value (give or take) overall with the restoration costs. I plan on contacting Susan and submitting it along with a couple of others I have.

Are you going to take some good pics of it (The Hulk)? A before and after show and tell would be really nice. :D
