After some deliberation, we have decided to make a small change to the rules of the trivia portion of the contest, in order to level the playing field for participants outside North America. Originally, players would have been competing against each other in how fast they respond – this made it more difficult for players in some time zones and easier for players in others. Now, speed of response will still be a factor, but there will be a set time frame (12 hours) within which to respond in order to get a set amount of points. Also at the end of each 12 hour period a "hint" will be posted as well:

Trivia – A comic related trivia question will be posted and participants will have 48 hours to respond with the correct answer by sending me a PM. Participants may only submit one answer. Once an answer has been submitted it cannot be changed. The correct answer will be posted after 48 hours. Points will be awarded for the speed with which participants respond with the correct answer (based on pm time stamp). :
Participants responding with correct answer within 12 hours (and no hint given)– 5 points
Participants responding with correct answer within 24 hours (with 1 hint given) – 3 points
Participants responding with correct answer after 24 hours (with 2 hints given) – 1 point
Incorrect or no answer – 0 points
This may not be perfect, but we hope that it will be an acceptable compromise that will level the playing field a bit more.
