Hello everybody, my name is Connor. I live in Long Beach, CA. Most of you probably know me as CAP Freak on the CGC Boards. Those of you that do

I collect Golden Age comics. Basically anything Pre-Code for those of you sticklers who believe GA ended with WWII. I especially like Flamethrower covers, well because they are cool.

Yes, flamethrowers are pretty cool. The new Call of Duty (5) will have one available as a weapon :evillaugh: btw, welcome to the boards!

Believe it or not, Stan Lee was not the only one acquiring inspirational ideas from other artists during his career.

Rumor has it that Kevin Cronin, lead singer of REO Speedwagon, was creatively inspired by Marvel's Black Bolt character during the production of the group's seventh studio album, which, as I'm sure you're aware, became "You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish".

I saw REO in concert in Kansas City with .38 Special and Kansas last year. I've never actually been much of a REO fan before but Cronin made a convert outta me at that show.

I saw REO in the mid 80s when I was in high school. Front row at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. That Kevin Cronin was sooooo dreamy.

:spaz:

Seriously, it was a great show. The older groups seem to put more effort into putting on a "show." Lots of the newer bands seem to just stand there and play. With some groups it works... with others it gets boring fast.

:offtopic: Yeah, about as dreamy as Howard Stern. My speed is Tears For Fears, who have spanned 3 decades and still going strong. (If you're using Apple's Safari browser OS X on Tiger's final 10.4.11 operating system final update before Leopard, watch out, going to any video blows it out.)

Wow, to kool...

I didn't get the chance to see REO back in the day. My chance came in January of 2001 at the Mars Music Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida. They played with Styx and the show was sold out. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen (and I have been to a lot of shows)!

8-)
