Anyone read the storyline yet?

Well if not the head that Wolverine cut off and might have been fighting for years was a CLONE  of Sabretooth (like Mr. Sinister did :secret: ). Maybe that is why Sabretooth has been such a moron in the comics. I hope Marvel will take the time to write Sabretooth as a heartless twisted bad@$$ killing machine that Chris Claremont and John Byrne had him to be. People with low IQ's are not picked for Cold War super soldier programs. That is not how government works when they invest money in programs like that.

One thing that bothered me was how the "Real" Sabretooth looked. He had a bad under bite with oversized canines.
I just pray that this will be written well and they revamp him into a real challenge for Wolverine and the rest of the Marvel Universe characters.

Fire Geoff Loeb and Daniel Way from ever writing Wolverine or Sabretooth again and get rid of Romulus FOREVER. Problems solved.

Sabretooth should be more trouble to fight than the writers have him.
Give him back the adamantium he had in the 1998 when Claremont wrote for Wolverine.
Sabretooth should be the dark savage side that Wolverine keeps suppressed and haunts him everyday. He should a mirror of Wolverine but more dangerous and formidable to him and other Marvel characters.
You can't pick up a comic without Wolverine being in it so do the same with Sabretooth and cause terror in other books.

I don't know, Sabretooth being a mirror to Wolverine just seems cliche. Sabretooth is not what Wolverine is fighting becoming. I see him as being inferior to Wolverine and therefore, has to make up for it by trying to be more vicious and cutthroat. Wolverine has the bigger claws, better healing factor, and is the better trained fighter. All Sabretooth has to fall back on is viciousness.

Man, you pair Loeb off with Tim Sale and it's sheer artistic genius. His work on Ultimatum, however... ugh. Hush? One of the definitive Batman story arcs. He has such potential to explode... either in a good way or bad way.

I haven't been exposed to the "genius" of Loeb, but I have been exposed to the hack that is Loeb. He wiped out A LOT of quality backstory for Wolverine by bringing in Romulus. He created the ultimate string-puller (Romulus) who is responsible for everything that has gone wrong in Wolverine's life. That is amateurish writing at best and very cliche.

And the whole lupine crap he came up with? Total hack writing. He has tried to undo great stories written by Claremont, Windsor-Smith, Jenkins, Hama, and others -- writers who added quality depth to one of Marvel's greatest characters.

Read anything Loeb has worked on with Tim Sale, either DC or Marvel. In my book, their collaborative efforts have been some of my absolute favorite stuff... and try watching Dark Knight and not see some of Nolan's source material in the Long Halloween / Dark Victory pairing.

Like what Logerine wrote. Writes who take over a book just kill great storylines and turn characters that could be great into lame ones.
It is like when artists drew Venom after Todd McFarlane's way of drawing it. No, wiping tongue with crazy saliva and the writer adds to it by taken away how we know Venom is like. Look at the third Spider-man movie  . That was bad writing of Venom and came from a writer who did not know what the character is or could be.
Without a great villain, the hero gets lame because the hero has no real challenges that discourage them and readers get bored. Really, think about how writers make Wolverine almost superior now in a fight with his villains. No challenge because the villains have flaws that makes them so beatable given by the writer and make Wolverine so unstoppable in a fight. All of his villains are so lame that he needs to be in other books because unless they make a cosmic-power godlike immortal hulk with mental control, magneto powers, abilities to take away or void out powers, and master of all fighting arts; he has no one that can beat him.
I know my hopes in a better Sabretooth will be lost by whoever is the writer at that time with any other villain they try to make. I just think the whole clone thing is as worn-out as the whole death thing. Wolverine will just keep cutting his head off or some other thing like a weapon that destroys all matter so there is no more healing and coming back.

I always saw sabretooth as stronger and more physical powerful than Wolverine. Wolvie always had to work harder to defeat him, use his cunning with his animalistic instincts. Sabretooth was always a threat made more dangerous by training. This is how I perceived him in Mutant Massacre and Wolverine 90.

I agree but the writers need to bring that back to the stories. The whole clone thing can give Sabretooth the reboot that is needed to be that sick twisted spree-serial killer of the Marvel universe.

I'm with you. But please: No more Jeph Loeb or Daniel Way :puke:

I have often seen Sabretooth as Wolverine's The Joker. Batman needs Joker and Wolvie needs Sabretooth. I think someone like Mark Millar writing Sabretooth could get it right. Claremont always knew what he was doing too. I miss Claremont's writing.
