I saw Avengers today with my kids. I feel like I've been waiting my entire life for this movie (full of heroes, lots of action, well acted, etc.) to be made and I wasn't let down. Great from start to finish. :yipeeeee:

However, I was reminded of how much I really hate going to the theater. Concessions are expensive, other people are rude and inconsiderate, and the theaters around me are just not comfortable for a 2.5 hour sit down. I wish they would release movies for home entertainment sooner than they do. I would gladly pay extra to see it in the comfort of my own home.

I hear you. With my flat screen, real buttered popcorn and favorite chair, I really don't see the plus of going out to see a movie.

I am looking forward to the avengers in the theater, but only because I don't want to wait 6 months for the DVD.

That's exactly why I went. I didn't feel like I could or should wait to see this movie like I did the others (Thor, Iron Man, Cap, and Hulk).

My brother and I went to see The Avengers with our mom for Mother's Day. We enjoyed the movie a lot, but I agree, the theater experience isn't all together a fun place to be. I'd much rather watch a movie at home and avoid smelling all the popcorn farts, stepping on pee in the restroom, and not hearing people rattle their boxes of Junior Mints and their plastic packages of whatever it is they are starved for. But seriously, the movie was great.

But do we really need to see Spider-Man's origin again already?

Maybe we don't, but Spider-Man 1 came out 10 years ago and there is a whole new generation of movie going kids that will eat this up.

Looks like this Spidey likes to take his mask off a lot too.

Thanks for the preview. A lot that's familiar, but it's well done. I'm liking. :righton:

Well, kids could always rent Spider-Man 1 on DVD. ;)

Spider-Man is a cash cow, and Disney knows this. If it would make lots of money, they would make a Spider-Man origin movie every year from now till doomsday. :spaz:

I don't care for this british kid who is playing Peter Parker. He was okay in the film "Social Network," but I'm not digging him as Parker. I think this movie would've worked better if they would have just continued the story where the 3rd film left off. Bring in The Lizard and go from there.
