New collection found by Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis.

The article says collection, yet the placement on the CGC label is where pedigree is usually placed. :???

This guy sounds like a nut job!!!!!!!!!!!

The ComicConnect search function is terrible. I couldn't figure out how to search for Suscha or even to search a specific auction. Every search I tried gave me their entire database.

Their search engine isn't the best at all. Here is a link for the Suscha News Collection (76 items). If it doesn't work, just go to Advanced Search and choose "Suscha News Collection" under the Pedigree drop down menu.

I expect it's a nice collection, that's all. Another selling tactic.

I believe the burden of proof rests with the seller/promoter/cgc to present real documentation to the public.

After reading the story and thinking it over, I'd have to go with classifying this as a collection and not a pedigree. He admitted to buying at least a handful of the books secondhand from a friend (including Amazing Fantasy #15). Since it would be hard to know which were purchased this way and which were purchased directly from the distributor, I'd be reluctant to call it a pedigree.

I agree, collection. If dealers want to inflate collections with labels, as usual, watch out. I read the story when the Metrop folks first emailed it to me. I thought the story was fun when he was able to cut a deal with the distributors to buy everything 1/2 price and still pick thru everything just to find the nicest books. True entrepreneur
